Informal assessment

Informal assessment is a way of collecting information about our students' performance in normal classroom conditions. It is also called a continous assessment as it is done over a period of time.
This assessment needs to carry out a systematic observation which consist of assessing primarily the four skills (Reading, writing, speaking and listening) and the attitude a student gives each time he or she is in a classroom.
The classroom is the most important place to assess a student informally, and the most traditional way of assesing students informally is by marking pieces of work thats students do either in class or for homework.
